I just heard that on CNN… terrible news. I loved him on Law & Order.

This made me so sad. Even my kids (who are 13 and 15) were saddened by the news of his passing. We are all fans of L&O, and especially fans of his. Godspeed to him.

He was one of my favorites. I saw an old clip of him once in a Broadway musical, “Guys & Dolls” I think it was. He was quite the song & dance man before coming over to tv….which you wouldn’t think from his character on L&O. I will sure miss watching him.

I loved his “one liners” at the opening of each show. It was a small sign that the show was not to be taken too literally, even for a gripping crime drama.
And also, kudos to him for his dad role in Dirty Dancing…I always thought it an understated and underappreciated performance.
