Bad Bumper Sticker
From what I’ve seen in this town during the last 2+ years, people are extremely friendly, helpful, and “live and let live.” Montanans are, justifiably, pretty well-known for their straight-talking, courteous, and overall nice tendencies. Honestly — I have never before in my life met such friendly people. So I was pretty pissed off on the way to work a few days ago when I noticed that the car in front of me — which sported a license plate that read “CAPT MO” — had a bumper sticker that stated: Silly Faggots — Dicks Are For Chicks!
Three possibilities: (1) it’s an attempt at humor, wherein the owner of the vehicle is either gay or supportive of gays, and sports this bumper sticker in mocking protest of the anti-gay movement; or (2) the owner of the vehicle really is a mean-spirited homophobe; or (3) ???
I know…the probable answer is (2). Sigh. I know that there are people like this in this world, and even in this wonderful community. It’s just that, having gone for so long without witnessing anything as overt as this bumper sticker in my daily routine, it just kind of knocked the wind out of me.
Also: I googled to find other references to this bumper sticker and found this from 1996.

Tacky. Purely tacky. And where the HELL does Capt. Mo get off having one on his goddamned car?? If he is indeed Capt. Mo of the USAF. No class-having ass. What a disgrace to the officer race. Just one OW’s opinion.
well, the obivious thing to do, dear readers, would have been to follow the offending bumper sticker, wait for the driver to leave the car… and then write a HO in front of the MO. I am sure it would have made the car owner’s day.
I like Geo’s solution.
I see stickers like that occasionally, David. It pains me, but I just console myself that there are many good folks in the world who DON’T think like that. Like you!
BTW: Please give the USAF a little bit of credit here… this person may be a Capt, in the same vein of Captain Kangaroo….
Or maybe he’s hoping to meet a pre-op M2F transsexual.
Don’t give the USAF too much credit, now. You’d be shocked by a lot of the crap I hear at work from fellow officers.
