Seems Like Old Times
Touched with sadness, to be sure, but watching TV last night was a delightful experience…seeing so many clips of Johnny Carson and some of the funnier moments from his career. And although I never watch Jay Leno, last night I knew that his show would be a tribute to Carson, and I’ll admit that Jay did a pretty good job. Even better was having Ed McMahon, Don Rickles, and Bob Newhart on the show…with them all reminiscing and the clips of some classic “Tonight Show” skits and scenes, coupled with cut-to-commercial-jazzy-music from the golden years, it was almost like being back in 1975, or 1985, or any other year between 1962 and 1992.
