Meow

My poor CowCat. She had trouble urinating and was meowing quite pitifully off-and-on during much of the weekend…and this morning there was a few tiny spots of blood in the litterbox. So I called the Best Friends Animal Hospital for an appointment and dropped her off during lunch. The good vet called me at 5:30 pm this evening and said that they were trying to get a very “clean” urine sample from CowCat (via a needle), but that our beloved Black-n-White peed in her cage instead. So she will be spending the night at the vet’s office, and the doctor assured me that they would put her in a quiet non-dog section, and would scratch behind CowCat’s ears for me, and call me tomorrow with an update.
I miss my CowCat. 
Poor kitty! It’s a UTI, right?
She’ll be home soon, and when she is, make sure you give her extra scratches from me and Moo (I bet those two would get along, being so uh, similar).
OMG! The same thing is happening with Cleo, minus the blood. She goes to her litter box CONSTANTLY, but only a little urine comes out.
Poor Cowcat. I hope she feels better soon!
Hope Cowcat gets better soon, I know how tough it is to be without a pet “family member” overnight.
Oh no!! Best of wishes to Ms. Cow Cat! But don’t worry, everything will be a-okay and she’ll have you scratch her ears as soon as possible.
Me and my lil’ Purrlie Girlie hope Cow Kitty is right as rain really soon. Purrl even offers a fuzzy mouse as a “get well soon” gesture.

UTIs are common, especially as they get older. Mine had one a few years ago. Are you using Iams? If not, switch. The vet recommended it at the time, so I switched, and she hasn’t had a problem since.
