Thar Be Gooses Here!
I like to pretend that I’m somewhat stoic, rational, mature, and wise…but the truth is, I am a complete, utter, and absolute sap when it comes to animals. Some animals more than others, such as Canada Geese, which are in plentiful supply here in Montana. They’re so whimsical, and funny, and cool looking: brown body, with white undercarriage, and the way cool black-with-white necks and heads. So it was with great glee that I stumbled across Love Canada Geese! So many cool stories and pictures and interesting facts about Canada Geese.
But with the good, I also have to take…well, not necessarily the bad, but the heartbreaking. Read the story about Bandy The Goose, who has only one foot, and you’ll know why I got a bit misty-eyed. I hope Bandy is doing OK. To make myself feel better, I might purchase Bandy’s book, or a coffee mug. Be well Bandy!

Hi, David - I just discovered your blog. I wrote the book about Bandy, my regal one-footed friend. He has taught me alot of things. You should read the book. It’s available at my website. I know you would enjoy it. It most rcently became a TalkingBook for the blind and is available nationwide to them. I am very happy about this because Bandy brings a message of hope and encouragement especially to lonely people and those with hardships. Thanks for blogging about him. He has had a good life despite his handicap.
