GOP Straw Poll of Bloggers

After the 2006 mid-term election, I sort of eased back from political news, but things are really heating up - on both sides of the political fence. Here’s a fun straw poll for the major (and semi-major) GOP candidates.

Gee, my brain hurts. There are too many candidates on each side for me to keep up with. There are two candidates in this poll that I hadn’t even heard of until just now. My original strategy was to wait until the primary gets closer, on the assumption that half the field would have dropped out and I wouldn’t have so many people to research. But with the Florida primary moving up so early, I may have rethink that. (Side note: Of the ten people in this poll, at least five have recent books on the shelf in our store right now — Gingrich, Giuliani, Huckabee, McCain, and Romney. Not all are about politics, though.)
What I’m really dreading is the idea that we might have two nominees by February, and then we’ll have NINE MONTHS of nothing but nasty, ugly, one-on-one mudslinging.
I don’t think I’m going to fill this in because I’m certainly a Lefty. I still dig John McCain and he is probably the only GOPer who would get my vote over Hillary. Obama is my first choice but I know that’s not gonna happen.

#2. is McCain and a distant numbero tres is Clinton.
I’d vote for Gore if he would run.
