Wouldja Like To Buy A Monkey?

To the best of my knowledge, David Letterman has only appeared in one movie: Cabin Boy. I saw the movie only once - many years ago - and Letterman’s brief “monkey” scene was hilarious. I watched that scene over and over again, marveling at the interaction between him and Chris Elliott’s “fancy lad.” The rest of the movie was odd, in a funny way; I didn’t quite “get” it, but suspect that I would really enjoy it now.
I think I need to buy the “Cabin Boy” DVD and give the movie a second chance.
I love that he has the cigar…
That just kills me everytime I see it. It reminds me of the the first time Popeye ever showed up in a comic strip. The first thing he ever said after he was asked if he was a sailor was “Ja think I’ma cowboy?”
I guess you had to read it to get the funny part, but you get the picture.
