McCain Needs A Music Video

8:30 am

Three people who are considered “celebrities” of some sort - America Ferrera, John Legend, and Will.I.Am (WTF?) - all appeared on “Larry King Live” on Friday night. The topic, ostensibly, was the importance of the “youth” vote in the 2008 Presidential Election. Let’s see…which of those three celebrities supported Mitt Romney? Or Ron Paul? Or Mike Huckabee? Or the eventual Republican nominee, John McCain? Nope…not one of them. All three support the Democratic candidates: the gal is cheering for Clinton, and the guys are rooting for Obama.

So which celebrities did Larry King invite on his program to talk about how important it is for young people to vote for Republicans? *crickets chirp*

Oh, but it’s probably because there isn’t a trendy, hip, suave music video singing the praises of any Republican candidate, unlike the “Yes We Can” video on behalf of the Obama campaign. And you can tell that the Yes We Can video is genuine, true, authentic, sincere, and moving, because (from the clip that I saw) it’s done in black-and-white, and shows serious faces of young people and celebrities. It must be Important and Mean Something. That’s why it was featured on Larry King’s show.
