Croc Knock

Finally! Someone has the courage to speak out against the abomination that are “Crocs!” But Miss Fancy Rants does point out that there is one - only one - redeeming quality about these monstrosities:
There is one positive thing about Crocs, and only one. You know those people who are out there sporting Crocs would be wearing flip flops or open toe sandals if they didn’t have those hideous Crocs on. There is nothing I hate more then having to see feet exposed in ugly footwear.
Amen, sister. She also links to an I Hate Crocs blog, which features a link to - yes! - an I Hate Crocs tee-shirt store!

When I first saw Crocs, I couldn’t believe the evidence of my eyes. I didn’t want to believe they existed. They are uglier than any plastic shoes have a right to be.
But I will submit one more redeeming quality–they are easy for very, very small children to put on all by themselves. That counts for something, and explains why my kids have them.
Not me, though.
HEY!! I am going to admit it to the world here goes: - I LOVE MY CROCS!! I wear them all of the time & they make my back feel better. I can stand & walk farther with them.
If you see me very often, you will see my Crocs. Multi-colored to match my outfits & fur-lined for winter. With & with out socks. I am a Croc die hard.
Once I found them (by doctor recommendation) I never went back. I would fight you for my crocs!! I watch e-bay for good deals & buy them there. (Y’all might know what a sucker I am for a great deal.) AND they have to be the real thing - no basement bargain ripoffs. The copycats are just not the same.
So laugh all you want - I don’t care. Love me, love my crocs is the way it is!! {big grin}
I love Crocs too. I have terrible feet, have had them operated on. Custom orthotics. I’ve spent $$$s on Birkies, Clarks, etc trying to find something comfortable to wear. Crocs felt good from the get-go. I don’t like the little nubbins on the foot bed, but I cope. And at 1/4 the price of Birkies, why not. If you’ve ever cried yourself to sleep because your feet ached horribly, you should try Crocs.
Oh finally! I know they are supposed to be the most comfy things in the world, but I have not been able to bring myself to getting them because they are so damn ugly!
The original shoe is a bit hard to accept, but the company now markets some less bulky designs, and some that look more like flats, so I am going to try some of those.
But I’m 56, so worrying about how my feet feel is more important than how they look
I went thru years & years of wearing beautiful stilettos & lovely heels. Now I am older with bad knees & a bad back I love the feel of the crocs. I don’t worry how my shoes look any more. I will leave that for all of you young chicks out there. {grin}
I absolutely 100% LOVE my THREE pairs of Crocs. I could give a shit if they’re ugly - they are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever put on my NOT ugly feet.
